MG Landscaping was started by Maung Maung Shwe and operates out of Springvale, where the business is still based today. It began the way most trade businesses in this part of Melbourne begin, with one person doing good work on local jobs and being asked back by neighbours who had seen the result. That word of mouth is still where most of our work comes from across Springvale, Doveton, Hallam and out into Berwick and Rowville. The business grew from garden work into the full outdoor build because clients kept asking for the next thing - a retaining wall before the turf, a driveway to match the new alfresco. Rather than sending people to another trade, we learned to build it. Today MG Landscaping handles the whole yard, from the design on paper to the last paver laid.

Maung Maung Shwe owns and runs MG Landscaping, and he is on the tools rather than behind a desk. That is deliberate. Landscaping is a trade where the decisions that matter most get made on site, standing in the yard looking at where the water goes and how the levels work, and those calls are hard to delegate to someone who was not at the quote. It also means the person who measured your block and wrote the price is the person you deal with for the whole job. We know the permit thresholds that apply in Victoria - retaining walls over one metre, decks above 800 millimetres, vehicle crossovers - and we raise them before quoting rather than after. We work across Greater Dandenong, Casey, Knox, Frankston, Kingston and Maroondah, and each council handles crossovers, tree controls and approvals slightly differently.
